.ευ – Your European identity now in Greek

 

According to EURid, .ευ (with Greek characters) tld is available for registrations since 14th of November 2019 and many new domains became available to everyone! .ευ domains are available with no restrictions to all European Union Citizens.

.ευ & .eu – What changes

Until now, someone could register a .eu domain using either Latin or Greek characters. However, this is not the case any more. Any interested party can register:

Α. .eu domains typing Latin characters and/or numbers and/or dash as special character.

Β. .ευ domains typing Greek characters and/or numbers and/or dash as special character.

Any .eu domain includes Greek characters and is already registered and active, will automatically be copied to .ευ and remain active for 3 more years (until 14th of November 2022). After this date, .eu domains with Greek characters will be deleted and only the respective .ευ will remain active. The registrants of .eu domains with Greek characters have already been informed from EURid and will be informed from their Registrars as well.
